Wildlife assistant Taylor Berry captured a male jouvenile Red-tailed Hawk here at the Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center at Reflection Riding. He noticed it was unable to fly and was suffering from malnutrition. After a period of rehabilitation the hawk was released back into the wild here on our property.

 Pavers for Grandmother's Garden
Leave your mark on the terrace at new Grandmother’s Garden!

The Chattanooga Arboretum and Nature Center at Reflection Riding’s new Grandmother's Garden offers everyone a chance to leave their mark. In addition to or in lieu of a general contribution, supporters can purchase personalized paver stones that will form the Garden’s terrace. There are two sizes of pavers—the large 12-inch squares for $100 or the smaller brick-sized paver for $50. Each paver may be personalized and engraved with a name in honor, in thanksgiving, or in memory of someone, or simply as a way to be remembered as a friend of the project.

“Grandmother’s Gardens are very nostalgic,” board member Sharon Turner says. “They are somewhere you just want to sit and linger. It’s not just a place to go, it’s a place to be and to reflect. I think it will call attention to the rest of the beauty of this place, which is designed for a beautiful vista. No matter any direction you look, there is always something beautiful to see.”
