Jan. 11: 11:30 a.m. Birds of Prey: Learn about the different birds of prey in our state with an in-depth look at the Red-tailed hawk 2:30 p.m. Wildlife Wanderland Tour: Tour the Wanderland and learn about our animal ambassadors.
Jan. 18: 11:30 a.m. Red Wolf Program: Learn about the Red Wolf Recovery Program and see and perhaps help feed the wolves! 2:30 p.m. Skullduggery: Find a skull, but don’t know what animal it’s from? Learn how to tell the difference during our basic Skull I.D. class!
Jan. 25: 11:30 a.m. Wildlife Wanderland Tour: Tour the Wanderland and learn about our animal ambassadors. 2:30 p.m. Tennessee Amphibians: Learn more about the Amphibians that live around you!
Family Programs
Nature Detectives: Owl Pellet Dissection Date: Feb. 1 Time: 1 p.m. Cost: CNC Members-Free, material fee $5 per pellet. Nonmembers-Admission fee plus material fee-$5 per pellet. Adults-$10, Children ages 4 and up-$7 and Seniors-$7.
Be a nature detective! The guys on CSI investigate all the clues left behind. Dissecting an owl pellet is the perfect way to study nature’s clues. What did this owl have for lunch-a mouse, or a shrew or what? Meet our resident owls, too. Participants get to keep all the clues they have discovered. Space is limited-pre-registration is required.
